This makes it possible to process the image directly in the camera, or to preprocess it before transmission. Crisp, clear monochrome images captured by the advanced 1/2-type IT CCD sensor at SXGA resolution can be processed at 15 fps (34 fps at VGA resolution). Camera functions including gain control, partial scan, binning and gamma control can also be controlled via the same PC. 

Sony introduces a new addition to its machine vision camera lineup, the all-in-one XCI-SX1 Intelligent Camera. 

This camera is equipped with a 1/2-type high resolution (1280 x 1024) progressive scan CCD, an embedded CPU and a 10Base-T/100Base-TX interface for network connectivity.
